SmartIPM participates in the special issue of Vida Rural (March 2017) dedicated to greenhouses and greenhouse horticulture.
The article entitled Decision support system for pest and disease management (Sistemas de ayuda a la toma de decisiones en el control de plagas y enfermedades) introduces the challenges of a cleaner, more respectful with the environment and sustainable agriculture regarding the use of pesticides; then it shapes the evolution towards the smart agriculture era, explains what is a decision support system and its potential use in IPM. Finally, the article presents the SmartIPM project objectives and first results.
