SmartIPM participates in the special issue dedicated to S@M, the information technology tool to implement integrated pest management and then reduce the dependence on pesticides.
SmartIPM has been invited to present its progress during the first months of the project. In the article, SmartIPM presents the need for a shift from chemical to integrated pest management, the possibilities offered by S@M as information technology tool to carry out the shift in crop protection, the results of the first crop season in the on-station experiments in “Las Palmerillas”, Almeria (Spain) and finally the approach followed from the co-conception of crop sampling methods to the recommendation sheets.
